Animal Records is Evanston’s newest hub for vinyl collectors and music lovers. The new record store was founded in 2024 by local drummer and scene veteran Adam Russo.

The vinyl shop offers a curated mix of new and used records, CDs, and cassettes. The Animal Records team are particularly interested in rock, jazz, blues, house, techno, DJ records, soul, punk, metal, electronic, global music, rap and hip-hop.

Animal Records is also actively buying collections—whether it’s a few records or a full basement haul. They’re ready to buy used records 7 days a week right here in Downtown Evanston, but will travel anywhere in the US for larger music collections.
