Get ready for something different this month at Lulus! Sukiyaki is a Japanese dish that is prepared and served in the nabemono (Japanese hot pot) style.

Lulus will cook Japanese Beef & Vegetables tableside in an iron pot with Tofu, Napa Cabbage, Shiitake & Enoki Mushroom, Carrots & Spinach, Green & White Onions, Bean Thread & Udon Noodles w/soy - sake & sweet mirin. A house ginger salad, steamed rice and sweet mochi ice cream dessert are all included. Minimum 2 persons; $24.95 per person.

Independent Bookstore Day celebrates all that we love about being apart of the community! Your support is what allows us to thrive and be the bookstore that you love. Independent Bookstore Day is a big national event, a chance for every indie's much-valued customers to celebrate how their local store makes book-shopping a deeply enjoyable and personal experience, not one based on algorithms and data-collection. 

There will be a number of events going on that day to celebrate including:

ALL DAY Take the #MyChicagoBookstore Challenge! For the third year, we're collaborating with more than two dozen independent bookstores in the greater Chicago area-from Winnetka to Hyde Park, and Naperville to Andersonville-on the #MyChicagoBookstore Challenge, which encourages book lovers to indulge in bookstore tourism by visiting 10 or more stores in a single day, Saturday, April 27, 2019.

Mudlark Theater Presents "MUDPIE" April 25-28

MUDPIE, directed by Andrew Biliter, is Mudlark’s annual celebration of Evanston youth. A series of delightful, moving, and imaginative scenes based on original stories, reflections, and poems by local kids.

Every year, we receive submissions of original creative writing pieces (short stories, fairy tales, poems, ramblings, rants, etc.) that have been written by local kids in the community. Mudlark adapts these pieces for the stage and incorporates the show into its mainstage season.

Whether you are a health enthusiast looking for a challenge or interested in trying out a variety of fitness classes, you'll be sure to enjoy the Downtown Evanston Wellness Crawl! It's like a classic bar crawl but you'll be working out! Event is open to all levels; just come with a positive attitude and be ready to work hard/ 

During the crawl, attendees will travel in groups to the 4 fitness studios - Pure Barre, CycleBar, Title Boxing Club and SPENGA - after the warm-up at Aligned Modern Health. The groups will come together for an after party at a nearby restaurant (TBD). Come out with your friends for a fun and fitness-focused afternoon!
