Center for Independent Futures (CIF) is an Evanston-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through life skills coaching, supported housing, and innovative services.
Founded in 2002, CIF partners with families, schools, and agencies to create inclusive models that foster independence and choice. Their signature My Full Life™ curriculum equips learners with practical daily living, employment readiness, and transition planning tools in a user-friendly digital (and in-person) format. CIF’s award-winning community activities connect residents with peers and neighbors through social outings, skill-building workshops, and shared experiences like “Travel the Town.”
With supported housing options, expert coaching, and consulting services for schools and agencies, CIF is committed to creating environments where people with disabilities can thrive. Their proven person-centered approach transforms challenges into opportunity.
